Re: differential vent hose connection

Hi Leo, i was told that there must be a bolt in the top of the vent hose. In this bolt there are 2 holes, 1 in the length (from the bottom to the head, but not through the head) and 1 perpendicular to this hole just beneath the head. I tried to make a picture of it, but it's almost impossible when t...

Hi David,

To my knowledge, i would say that normal jeep shockabsorbers are the same for GPA.

Hi Guys,

i just came across this GPA. It is from the Indiana Jones movie.

Much easier to assemble and much cheaper than the real thing !

Re: Radiator Drain

There are so many holes in the GPA (even when it's restored), that it's dificult to pinpoint the right one. As for the holes (welds) on top of the wheelwells, i also think they were used for aligning the sheetmetal. Also when you look on the left and right rear side panel (and on the rear panel) you...

Re: Radiator Drain

Air vent for rear axle. You screw one end of the hose in to the breather hole of the rear axle (with the special adapter) and the other side of the hose is fixed in the hole - you suggest - with a nut (and a rubber on the outside to prevent leaking). In the top end of the hose you put a bolt for a b...

Re: Radiator Drain

John,

Hopefully this picture helps. The drain is just behind the middle of the steering shaft.

I don't remember what the other outlet (that Tony showed) is originally used for, but i blocked it.

Re: deck bolt question

Hi David, These bolts (there is 1 on each side) hold the surfshield in place during heavy water conditions. Normally before you encounter bad weather, you flip the surfshield forward, slide the 2 u-formed plates behind these bolts and then you secure the surfshield with the 2 wingbolts. This is a fi...

Hi Donovan, it looks great ! Keep up the good work ! I remember my work on the hull, it was almost a never ending story ..... Re: GPA Screens

David, i'm sorry, but i've been busy restoring my house ... therefore the 'screen'-project was postponed for a while ! Also i didn't think there would be so much interest in the screens, so i'm re-thinking the way to produce them. On one hand to keep the price interesting for everyone and on the oth...

Why we should start collecting bicycles

Hi guys,

it is not really related, but it brings a smile to my face !

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YgSajTZk ... re=related

So stop collecting GPA's, start collecting bicycles + some scrap sheetmetal ! ;-)

Enjoy,
