GPA For Sale
Hey Guys, I have decided to sell my fully restored 1942 Ford GPA (2196). I am truly appreciative to the many friends on this forum who have helped me over the 4 year restoration to get it to the high quality that it is today. I would venture to say and have been told by the "experts" that ...

Re: GPA engine 10256
I used to own that GPA after Steve Barber, this engine came from a GPA from Texas that I believe was being used to tow boats around in a marina (On Land). It indeed was turned into a pickup truck I had to part it out but many nice panels came out of it... Bob you probably have some of them... I beli...

Dayton MVPA 2011 Swimming Videos
Here are some videos of my GPA swimming at the MVPA Convention in Dayton. You can see the not so great "ramp" and the weed filled retention pond! Launching http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gvs3B_4odqU Swimming http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VhJXGIlzrxI Landing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=...

Re: Took my GPA for a Swim
Bob, Thanks for your detailed response. Yes I usually enter from concrete boating ramps so haven't really had the concern of unknown underwater obstructions. Plus I usually enter fairly slowly. I have done the occasional splash into the water, as you know the GPA doesn't have the front drive tunnel ...

Re: Took my GPA for a Swim
Bob S, Thanks for the advice. I've been driving swimming my GPA for a few years now. What is your rationale for engaging the prop in that manner? I understand about not running it when dry (lubrication from the water on the packing seal) I find if I engaged after going in, the forward momentum will ...

Re: progress of 1359
That is a very useful cover David, when I swim with the windshield down I get all kinds of spray and water marks on the glass :) Is that original or is someone reproducing them?

Tony

David,
Dennis Francis, Wheels of the Past ((918) 225-2250) makes them. That is what I have on my GPA Lifting rings... work perfectly, no rattle.

Re: New forum owner announcement.
Bob,
Congratulations and thanks for carrying on the G504 site. I like this site since it is pure GPA, I do usually cross post GPA questions to both here and the G503 like most others but it's great to have a dedicated forum and archive just for the GPA.
Thanks!
