Re: GPA Springs

The GPA springs do not have a lot in common with the GPW / MB
The springs do not have a beveled edge on the GPA and the spring bush and hanger design is totally differant.
In short you can not use GPW / MB springs under a GPA.

Re: Need Jerry Can Support Bracket

Hi Mike,
I have just finished making the tooling for these.
I should have a prototype ready in about 2 weeks.

I will make a posting on the G as soon as they are done.
Then I will be taking orders for a production run on a made to order basis.

"Well done David"
Your GPA is a "Master Class" restoration, and swims as well as it looks.
Now its time to enjoy all your hard work.
Thank you for the first swim.

Re: Up Date on GPA 9398

Hi Cees, Yes they have welded all the bottom back in. It looks 100% like its original right down to the drain flanges and skid rails. I will try and post some more photos. It would be great to be at your swim in in August. Its on my list of "Must do" in this life time. Best regards Richard

Re: Surf shield ?

Hi
Can any one give me a length of the shoulder on the bolt?
(How long the un machined part of the bolt is that the surf shield clips around)

I need to make a couple for my GPA.

Re: Wanted GPA Spare Tyre Bracket

Hi,
I did manage finally to get one, but it is a hard to find part that I am sure many people would need.
It would be good if some one makes a run of them.

Re: new fan belt

This is an intresting find.

The B43 in my belt set was matched of an original NOS belt.

I will check the remaining ajust ment on my GPA as I am just about to fit
the generator.

Re: Front shocks

The extrended bell crank shaft I make raises the drag link 1"3/8 (36mm) This centres the draglink in the boot so it is not pinned by the drag link when the weight comes of the wheels. On my original GPA I did not have the original shock absorbers. I had no choice but to fit ordinary GPW ones. I...
