Is the blue underdash device a fire extinguisher? I see the standard brass unit on the left floorboard riser.

Why do so many restorers paint the oil fill cap red on USA MV's when that is a British only policy?

I ended up with this first as a parts tub for another restoration but then I also found a good chassis and more parts so now it is about 80% complete from a collection of parts standpoint only

That's exactly what I should be doing with my GPA 7224. We have close numbers and similar amounts of rust to repair.

Maybe you could contact GPA owners with numbers lower than yours to see what plates they have and to see if any have the Ford script plate.
