Floor bolts

Rick As Mithrill told you allready the GPA floor plates are fastened with hex bolts. The floor plate with 5/16 and the smaller plate round the gear shift 1/4 bolts. The "pan head" bolts are used for the upper deck plates. The big ones (pan heads) are used for the head lamp brackets, the sm...

Wingnuts

David

I've set a few pair to Richard Sanders allready.
I think this was about 10 euro's post costs.
60 euro's a pair (2 pcs) left & right.

Tranfer case seals

Here a small modification for the transfer case.
Instead of the single oil seal of the tranfer case
at the handbrake side a modification for a dubble seal.
You can put 2 SKF oil seals behind each other.
SKF 15649 and SKF 15635 .

Carl On ww2 pictures you see the T bar handle pump but in my opinion there were several pumps in use if nessesary. The Waterweasel M29C uses the folowing model which was direct inserted in the water instead of GPA which uses 2 hoses. http://i.imgur.com/zI74IlMl.jpg Here a picture from a GPA with the...

Steering lnuckle kit 908226

As an extra for the front axle I use this extra set. It is a modern CJ 5 knuckle set which is better than the original ones! South African Owner Eugen Nick used it in (now) my GPA! The Ex -Mexican GPA of Peter Verhoeven was fitted with the same seals! In combination with the dubble lip seals and V-s...

Spacers

I agree with Donovan.
Cees told me that he had found those spacers and
I was curious to other reactions.
My chassis was never taken out and I didn't find any spacer!
So I'll guess these were only added when the space between hull & frame was to big for proper adjustment.

bottum plugs

Bob

They are the right original ones!
You can use an American jerry can for the right
thread / hole in the bottum.

Oil

David I use a little thicker oil. SAE 120 GL 1 oil.(instead of a SAE 90 oil.) This must be suiteble for hypoid gears. That is an oil without dopes. In my opinion todays sae 90 oil is a little thinner that SAE oil from the old days. I know it is strange because SAE 90 IS SAE 90. But my results are go...

My compliments Tony!
But realize that building her up is a lot of work too!!!
You feel like a kangaroo ;jumping in and jumping out!
Be sure you test her first in the water before finishing her.

MWO

Tony In my opinion the GPA's that stayed in the U.S. are transformed with the U.S. mwo's. My GPA 4928 went to South Africa and was left in the condition as she left the Ford Plant. It is your decision how to rebuild / restore your GPA. You can build her like she came out of the Ford plant or add all...
