Progress of 5294
GPA5294 is a kit. Finished putting the second coat of color to the tub today. Everything else is pretty much ready. The rolling frame has been running for the past year, all the decking and floors have been restored, the dash is restored, everything is ready to assemble. Hopefully I have not missed ...

Re: Side Curtains
Didn't notice when I first looked at the pics of the side curtains, but they are different. What is the one on the left with all the snaps? Were there 2 different styles? John

Re: Side Curtains
A picture is worth a thousand words. Thanks, David. I had visualized how it all fit together pretty close, but you have cleared it up. Thanks again, John

Side Curtains
Can someone post or send me pics of the side curtains? I am trying set up my windshield and cannot find a clear view of how they attach. I know there are 4 studs on the windshield and 2 snaps on the cowl, but how does the catch to rear of the cowl come in to play? Thanks, John

Re: Radiator Drain
Steve, The pics of the tunnel are of Tony's GPA. I think I see the weld you are talking about, but will have to look at mine to see if it has a similar weld. You are talking about 2 support brackets on top of the tunnel to which the prop shaft supports attach? John

Re: Radiator Drain
BINGO, That's it. Do tell, a drain for the gas tank. I would not have thought of that, but it makes sense. Thanks guys for the info, I had been looking thru my manuals and all the pictures that I have saved from the internet to figure out what it was for. Worked today on the hinges for the hood, rad...

Re: Radiator Drain
That's great, exactly what I needed. Now, the next question. You have enlightened me on the fitting in the front tunnel, now, what is the fitting in the rear tunnel in the similar position? John

Re: Radiator Drain
Thanks Glenn, That's the one. I remember it before the repairs, but it was not there after. Hopefully I can get all these little details discovered and fixed before getting things too cluttered. John

Re: Radiator Drain
Tony, Now I am really confused. The fitting that was on my tub, that I thought was the radiator drain was located down in the area of the drag link boot. Maybe it was added later. But I had assumed it was for the radiator. John

Radiator Drain
I took pictures of my tub prior to repair but am unable to find the location of the radiator drain fitting in the tub. I remember seeing it and wondering at the time what it was. Later I figured the purpose, but now I realize the welder did not replace it during repairs. Can someone post a picture o...

Re: Progress 5294
Tony, I was not aware of the finish of the filter. Where did you get the plating kit? I have been trying to find the correct piano hinge for the the radiator, hood, and dash hatch, where is a good source. Also may need help w/the bilge pump, it is at the machine shop. The center bushing was gone and...

Progress 5294
Got the tub back from the welder. I am sure there will be many surprises in the future, but to eleminate a few, I am putting everything together before inserting the frame. I have been driving the frame for the last few months to work out the bugs w/trans and engine. All seems okay. Hope the links w...
