Warning !

Post by bobassel »

Hi,
If you are looking for original material for your Jeep / GPA here a warning !
Lot of GPA / Jeep parts are reproduced just after WW2 as a pay back deal.
Lot of German factories had to produce all kind of parts like spare parts
for the French army !
I my collection there are; thermostatic houses, tansmissions, tranfer cases and even engines !!
These foundries used the same code letters as used on original parts !!
For example; Thermostatic housing has letters "GPW 8250 J.D." , but no " F "

Transmission housing; "GPW 7006" on the right side and no "F "
Image
Transfer housing; "G.P.W.7705" above this a Mercedes? star and 0301 and no "F "
Image
Engine blok; Casting "GPW 6015" , instead of "GPW-6015" no dash between W and 6 and no " F "
Image
Above this number no " F " but a " H " Hotchkiss ?

In my opinion there must be a lot of more of the replica parts.
It fits and works but these parts are NOT WW2 produced, so don
