A nice try out on the Biesbos but I forgot
everything!!
I forgot my meat for dinner,I forgot my camping
table, I forgot my (not original) hood for the GPA
and I even forgot to open the 2 small hatches to
to get some hot air inside the GPA.
A very wet weekend and even my underwear was wet.
Much of the bilge pumping was rain water,
Here a picture of the view of most of the day!
(Luckely the saturday was a little dryer.

Great photos! It looks like heaps of fun.

I'm interested in how you have attached the non-original hood to your GPA. Can you post photos of where you bolted the hood bows onto etc.

Thanks in advance.

Arron

Arron & others,

Eugen Nick made my canvas top and if I'm right he coppied
this from John Ford.
Here are a few pictures of the tubes and brackets.
The measurements for the tube are;
The longest vertical 87 cm. (outside)
The horizontal tube is 162,5 cm.(Outside)
I use a little longer bolts for the brackets.
Both brackets are bolted on the outside on the original bolt points.
No extra drilling and easy to remove.
You still can use the original antenna bracket together.
I use some tiny little fasteners at the back of the rear seat.
I use 2 long canvas belts through footman loops to ajust
the canvas top.

Eugen , south Africa made.
Raymund van Riel sells also tops for GPA.
He makes complete sets but you need footman loops
on your rear deck.
There are tubes mounted on the interieur of the GPA
and you can't install the antenna bracket anymore.
He sells them in a canvas bag and they are collapsible.

That was just what I was after a very good detailed description.

I would love to see Raymund van Riel's style top too if anyone has some photos.

Thanks
Arron
