Very early production models of the GPA

This time a photo of a few very early production models of the GPA. I also have a DVD film where you can see these VEP models together with one of the GPA prototypes driving out of the factory and going for a few swims. On the film you can also see some cameramen, this photo is probably taken by one of them.
The interesting thing is that these GPA's do not have a surf shield, and no surf shield hinges either. Was the surf shield an after thought idea? Or perhaps the surf shields came from another supplier and were not yet avialable at the time of the making of the film and photo.
Another question for Bob Asselbergs to find out how many GPA's came without a surf shield :?:
The photo was taken at the river Rouge plant, but has no date on it (the red date on the photo is from my digital camera, my scanner is still broken.....)

Here is another interesting picture!
A very early Ford factory GPA without Reg. number.
No headlamps & brackets.
Rope guides on railing.
Small tank filler neck & cap.
Low short model tail light brackets.
No surf shield but there are the hinge brackets mounted.
Allready lifting rings front & rear on the deck mounted!!??
