What is the total length of the temp sending unit. If I understand correctly, it is different than the GPW.
Thanks David

David,

I don't know the answer to your question but I've been told the GPW length will work.. that is what I am going with. But I have not fitted mine up yet... should be in the next couple of months or so though...

David,

According to the FORD Master Parts list, it indicates that the part number is GPW10883, the same for a GPW. Given the proximity of where it goes into the block in relation to the dash, a GPW type temp gauge should work fine.

Though I cannot say I found one, I had to use an alternative (that they do not make any more!) that was not great.

Good luck,

Donovan

My Parts list Tm-10-1264 Dated Oct 42 has it listed as GPA 10883. While the Oil gauge is a GPW # 9273. Could someone measure the total lenght.

David,

There was no original temp gauge with my GPA, so I can't measure the lenght for you, but I'm sure the GPW sending unit will fit perfectly.
