Does anybody know what the 3 threaded 5/16 in holes in the front passenger side floor are used for?I have always wondered. And the brackets on the inside wall of the passenger side hull are for? There seems to be so many mysteries to a GPA,I thing thats why I like them so much, just like a woman.

Hello Rick,

I don't know what holes you mean, perhaps a small photo will help to determine what you want to know.
The brackets on the passenger side of the hull are for various radio equipments that can be used with the gpa. There is a special TM for these radio equipments, TM 11-2707 but unfortunately I don't have that one :(

Hi Rick,

The TM 11-2707 "Installation of Radio Equipment in Truck, 1/4-Ton, 4x4, Amphibian" , June 44, gives all information about the strange holes an brackets in the right side of the GPA. In it, a lot of drawings to mount all kinds of radio sets in the GPA. Too much maybe for this website.
Maybe Leo can find the time to scan the most important ones to put it on the list. Leo lives in the same area.
Best regards,
Jan

If you want to put a signal corps radio in your GPA at this place, you have to remove the passenger seat definitively ... Only the BC 620 / BC 629 radio unit goes on the rear seat.
