I just acquired this vehicle from a retired Ford dealership owner in El Dorado, Kansas, who purchased it as military surplus in 1954 in Tucson. He used it unregistered on his ranch for many years, according to his son-in-law. At some point the vehicle was driven into the dealership and left there for some decades. For its age and lack of use, the vehicle is remarkably complete and largely rust-free.

Check it with me in six months to find out whether its restoration is as fun then as it is now.

Hi David,

Any USA-registration on the hull? My GPA is 3 days older.
No USA-reg. number on mine!
Best regards,
Jan

David:

For getting the registration number on the sides and rear I had good luck using just very fine wet sand paper kept wet with a sprayer. Good luck. You are way ahead of most of us already.
