GPA plate on GPW

Just thought I'd share this oddity. I know the pictures are a bit hard to make out but what I have is an early GPA steel data plate stamped with GPW serial # 115416 and DOD 5 - 3 -43 mounted to a gpw glovebox door. The door serial matches the GPW frame number. I guess you could call it a GPA .

I always thought alcohol was not allowed during working hours at the Ford factory
Even the Government inspectors must have had a bad day ?
