Progress on GPA #8787

After more then 2 years stand still due to multiple personal circumstances, I picked up the restoration of my GPA this summer.
Wiring is allways a big challange for me, there was no old wiring on any parts so I had to start from scratch. There was a repro cable set when I bought my GPA, but this turned out to be an early GPA wiring loom and it was incomplete as well.
I started with a wiring scheme from a Ford GPW jeep and looked at the TM's, partslist and FSMWO's. The next challenge was figuring out where all the cables where guided to, behind the dash and under the front and rear deck panels.
Fortunately I do have many photos of different GPA restorations that I could use. Even more fortunately I have some very good GPA friends who helped me out.
Many thanks to Roy Stoots, for checking out all the wiring and helping me with the last 4 wires I didn't know. Many thanks to Jan Roelse for checking out the wiring on his GPA.
In the end my wiring was completed and the dash was placed on the hull. Now all the wiring from front and rear have to be connected to the dash, as well as the handbrake cable, speedo cable and choke and throttle cables.
Here are some photos of the results so far:
The dash on the loose supports, great you can turn it over and it has a great hatch on top, easier acces to the wiring then on GPW jeeps:
Dash placed on the hull:
Front deck, underside (not finished):
Regulator on engine panel:
I hope more updates will follow soon.
