My friend Nils Broch in Norway is looking for an intermediate crossmember for his GPA-frame. GPA 5024
Yes, the one in the middle for the transmission and transfer case!
Can anyone help maybe?
Kind regards,

Re: Crossmember wanted for GPA frame
Jan,
If you are unsuccessful in finding an original crossmember, it may be possible to take a jeep crossmember and just lengthen it as the transmission and TC mount holes will have to be the same as an MB or GPW. I think the frame on a GPA is 7 inches wider than on a GPW. This is based on the measurements of spring mounts on a GPA axle I have that was converted for use on a GPW. What I cannot tell you is if the extra length (3-1/2 inches) is the same on both sides. You would have to measure from a GPA crossmember to confirm.
Good luck,
Donovan

We will wait and see if our call for an original one is successful or not !?
Kind regards,
Jan

Re: Crossmember wanted for GPA frame
Jan, Donovan,
The GPA crossmember also has a dent in it, this was needed to fit the extend of the transfercase with rubber boot to the front drive axle. This extend is wider then on an jeep.
Ik think the transfer case extension has part number GPA7444 instead of GPW7444.
Have you asked Dean Harvey from Scootopia/Joes Motor pool?
