Re: WW2 GPA's in OD
Thanks for a great photo Jan. Cute "uniforms" on the 2 drivers!
The seat covers appear to canvas not leather or the shiny "vinlylized" canvas that was so popular in the car industry back then. What does everyone else think about these seat covers? David

Re: GPA 2196 Swim Video
Tony, your lesson about putting in the drain plugs strikes fear in the heart of boat owners. If you have been a boat owner for any length of time you have forgotten to put in the boat plug BEFORE launching at least once. Neptune himself must have been watching over you as you were able to get all th...

GPA motor 2969
I just brought home a GPA motor 2969 for my GPA 9545, which had an un-numbered GPW replacement block in it. David

Re: Engine Work Bench (manipulator)
Jan, this may not be GPA related but it sure is related to your "Manipulator" - I just finished watching an episode of Tank Overhaul. This episode showed Dave and Dave on the Isle of Wight working on the Sherman that they restored by cutting two damaged units in half and then welding the g...

Aluminum or brass data plates
My frame number is 9545. I have an aluminum marine operations plate (colored red) and am missing all the others. I'm not sure if my aluminum red plate is original or correct. The former owner did a number of weird things to this GPA.
Based on number 9545 should I have aluminum or brass plates? David

Was the Marine operations plate ever issued in red?

New GPA 9545
I brought home a new GPA project which was missing it's data plates and had an un-numbered GPW replacement block. After scratching around at the frame number I have clearly found the first 2 numbers as 95 and the last two appear to be 45 but they still need more work to confirm this. Holden Mass. Da...

Found a GPA motor for my new GPA!
I brought home a "new" GPA a month ago which was supposed to have a GPA motor. It turned out to have a GPW un-numbered replacement block. I contacted a guy who I remembered from 2 years ago, said he had what he "thought" was a GPA motor. I gave him a call and this is what I found...
