I agree with those modifications and I've got copies of all 12 field service
modification orders.
Modification w.o. W1 has the date;7 januari 1943 and W12 2 june 1943.
Fact is that mine GPA and the other untouched GPA 4926 both
d.o.d. 12-28-1942 don't have inspection holes for lubrication and first model engine lid wingnuts.
The voltage regulator is replaced to the higher new position and there were holes drilled extra in the Ford plant.
The original low place has the welded nuts but the new place has lose
nuts and locking rings.
The change of "castle" nuts (W1) from normal nuts was allso allready done at the Ford plant.
I prefer what I see on untouched vehicles and original pictures above
of reading new GPA books.
