GPA Engine Block

Post by John »

G'day All,
For the interest of forum members, I sighted Engine Block GPA9850 last week. Unfortunatly it does not come with the rest of a GPA. The owner said he would part with it if the matching hull/frame should surface.
Have fun

Hello,

By any chance, is it possible to have a close up picture of this number on the engine ?

GPA Engine Block

Post by John Wilson »

G'day All,
First off,
For Mithril - No problems about getting a photo of the engine number for you. Be patient though as it will be a little while until I get back out to the engine.
For Leo - Great to hear from you. Yes I received you parts from Richard, thankyou. Not much to report on my M29C to date. Since we last wrote I have moved 700kms to take up a new job at the Australia Telescope Narribri as a Cryogenics Officer. With the move everything went on hold but I have just signed a contract to purchase a house on 28Ha's of land, so all going well I should be able to get the weasel down here and get back to work. At present I am getting a reproduction fuel tank made up by a friend of Richards. Out of interest he fabricates fuel tanks for GPA's and I am told by Richard that they are an excellant reproduction. Not sure of cost. I am always searching for parts. See URL http://www.g503.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=69256. If any forum mebers come across a set of the deflector panels that are located behind the Surf shield and are for sale, please let me know.
For John - G'day. This engine block came out of a jeep from Lismore. It was from a deceased estate so thats about all I know. I hope you put those DUKW parts to good use. Thanks for picking them up a short notice.
Thats about all for now.
Best regards
John Wilson
