1/4" Ford Script bolts

Post by Donovan »

In my dismantling/restoration effort, I have never seen a 1/4" Ford Script bolt head. Now this may just mean when they were manufacturing my vehicle, they may have run out. I have 5/16" and 3/8" but no 1/4". Do people have these 1/4" Ford script bolts?

Thanks,

Donovan.

I've seen the same Donovan, and am proceeding with my restoration based on that using unmarked 1/4 inch bolts.... for what its worth... but with 5 GPA's and several coffee cans full of bolts I don't believe we found a 1/4 inch one.... but your mileage may vary ;)

Cheers,
Tony

Dear Gpa-friends,

Since the start of my MV-hobby 45 years ago, I never found one 1/4" UNC or UNF bolt "F" script. Just the bigger ones.
In the GPA,s or in my FORD-script early GPW.
So - I think - no problem, use nice flatheads for this job without any script.
Sure you wil find these between your old parts or in tins or toolbox.
Nice to see the interest in this great "GPA" -hobby!
Best regards,
Jan
