GPA 2196 Swim Video

Post by GPA2196 »

Gentlemen,

Here is the video from GPA 2196's first swim trials. I decided to leave it unedited and show all our mistakes, stalls, etc. Hopefully they add more character to the learning process. Enjoy!

Thanks,

Tony, your lesson about putting in the drain plugs strikes fear in the heart of boat owners. If you have been a boat owner for any length of time you have forgotten to put in the boat plug BEFORE launching at least once.
Neptune himself must have been watching over you as you were able to get all that swim time in without shipping enough water to .... I don't dare say it.
Congratulations on a great first swim! David

David,

That is why I included it and did not edit my video :) Actually we checked all the original plugs in the main hull but forgot about the two FSMWO plugs they are much smaller than all the other plugs and in the rear compartment. I'm pretty confident the bilge pump would have kept up with it once it had crossed the rear axle hump, but best not to forget in the first place! In the video you will notice we only swam the first swim for less than 10 minutes or so.

I look forward to seeing yours come along David!

Cheers,
Tony
