Front Drive Shaft Hull Seal

Everyone,

I am in the process of installing the drive shafts and hull seals and was trying to figure out the front transfercase (front drive line) to hull seal. Does the seal install from the outside of the hull with the rubber part of the ring on the outside of the hull. I have the new neoprene style (different from the original) and it seems that the only logical way would be from the outside in. Also mine came with no bolt holes so I guess you line it up, mark the holes, punch the holes and then install the bolts. Correct?
