Bjorn Fosholm and his crew arranged a great Amphib meeting for us all.
A campside was arranged especially for us with two ramps for entering or leaving the water.
A big group tent / two Tipy tents were there for our drinks at the evenings and for the farewell diner.
A lot of us arrived sooner to miss nothing of this event.
We were there with 9 DUKW's, 9 Ford GPA's, 4 Schwimmwagens, 3 Duttons, 3 Russian GAZ, 2 own build amphibs, 14 Amphicars,1 Amphibious Range Rover.
One day we went to some locks with almost 30 meter level difference.
Went into the first, than the seccond, third and fourth.
Off course there were some repairs which brings allways lots of "clever talk " and fun 8)
We had good weather with sunshine but also rain and rain....... :(
We came from many different countries like here famely Skinner from G.B.
And even my friend Dominique Cordonier, who travelled all the way from the south of France to this Amphib meeting in Norway. :o
He drove with trailer and GPA more than 2500 km and the same distance back to be there :!:
Nice pictures could be made on the lakes and on nice locations.
Almost there was one amphib sinking!
A Dutton from our Belgian friend Bert made water and the fuse in the bilge was broke.
He was lucky that a GPA and DUKW were able to pull him to the shore.
A electric bilge from the DUKW got most of the water out, but the water inside was allready so high that the engine was drowned
and water was allready in gearbox and engine. :twisted:
Friday was the day for the group picture and we had a nice sunshine with it.
Our German friend Jurgen Gussling made for all the captains a great C.D. with a lot of pictures including the group picture.
Saterday we had a "Kniffel Knaffel "race with several instructions and the beautifull weather inspired us to do "water fights" :roll:
At the evening there was the traditional farewell diner with presents handed over to the organisators.
At the end of all of this our Italian friend Alberto Dubini invited all of us for Amphib 2013 in Italy 8)
It will be held on the last week of June or first of July at Lago Magiore or Lago Garde.
