H everyone!
I'm about to begin sandblasting some of my GPA body panels, however, I have not been able to locate the F script marks on any of them.
I would like to locate them before I begin blasting because I'm worried I may obscure them completely. They could be buried in thick paint or rusted to the point where they are not any longer discernible.
Where have other owners spotted their upper and lower floor pan, rear deck and battery box cover script stampings?
Thanks David

Re: Location of GPA panel F scripts
David,
As I recall, not all of the panels had an F-script on them. It was only those items that may have been used on the GPW. For instance, the seat back probably was the same as a GPW but the rest of the seat was not. So trying to find F-script on all GPA parts will be a fruitless search. There was no reason for Ford to do this as only Ford was making the GPA as opposed to the Jeep where both Ford and Willys was making the same vehicle.
At least this is my opinion and what I have observed on my GPA.
Donovan.

Re: Location of GPA panel F scripts
Hello everyone,
I think Michael is right in his message.
There are specific GPA parts who have GPA markings and other parts GPW markings.
Strange thing is that a lot of parts are a bit different than GPW and have no GPA or GPW marking.
Only in the manual or parts list you find this part with the only diffenrence GPA**** or GPW****, but
most of the time the same part number.(or on the packing)
Also the numbering of parts is not done consistent, early and late.
Example: the rear seat has a partnumber on only after the first 5000. (+/-)

Thanks for the info guys! That will be one less thing to worry about while sandblasting.
