GPA-Gathering Normandy 2014

Dear GPA-friends,

GPA-owner Philippe Pierrejean (France) # 8334 would be very happy to meet us all - as much as possible - June 5, 2014 in the town of Carentan. If you stay in Normandy that time with your GPA be very welcome near the Port.
According Philippe , there is not salty water at that location. At the moment there are 12 GPA,s already listed.

Here my topic:
Hi (GPA) friends,

Some of you had already contact with Philippe Pierrejean, but I like to
inform you concerning the hapening on June the 5th in Carentan.
Philippe tried to get as many as possible GPA's together during this meeting
in Carentan 2014.
I made him member of G504, so he can use our forum as well!

This is what Philippe wrote:

I expect the exact date of this day of remembrance with the town of
Carentan.
I spend some time to see officials from the port and the city in July 2013,
concerning June 5th 2014.
This will be an important day for the city of Carentan because it is the
first port in France that was libarated in 1944.
Amphibious jeeps will have a place of honor in the port.
The gathering will be only for the GPA's, not other amphibians
I established the GPA's for the city program.
I offered a storageplace by serial number in the morning around 10:00 and
a parade in the town of Carentan and a meal offered by the city-locals near
the port.
From 14:00 to 16: 30 p.m.we are alowed to go into the water with the GPA's.
(sweet water)
16:30 to 18:00 privat sale and exchange market for parts from GPA's and for
owners of GPA's.
Registration is free and the purpose is to spend a good day between owners
of GPA's in a very historical area in this 2014 date
with GPA friends.

Just back from the Normandy happening.
A gathering of 24 GPA's at Carentan sunny ( record?)
A warm sunny June the 6th with thousants of vehicles.
It was great!
