GPA 12777?

Post by bobskinner »

I have owned this GPA for nearly 20 years. It was brought into the UK in 1984 from Denmark where it had been used by the FALCK. I bought it as a long term restoration and have been gathering parts and am ready to start on it now. I have mounted the hull (and frame) in a rolling frame so that it can be rotated for welding. I cannot find a number on the frame, GPA 12777 is the number on the import document so it may not be correct. The engine is a Ford engine but not GPA.

If it is really the frame #GPA-12777, then she is the lastest one know GPA still existing.

Hello all,
I now have the restored hull and frame back from Dean Harvey and it looks pretty good to me. Regarding the frame number, I spoke to the man who imported it and he said that the paperwork on everything he imported from Denmark was always 100% correct so the chances are that this really is GPA 12777. I will start the reassembly when I get back from my winter break in Goa.
I will attempt to post some pictures of the hull.
