I've seen GPA's marked both in drab blue and white..... and with or without stars.... any thoughts on what GPA 2196 should be marked with? I know markings were often repainted in the field and things like invasion stars added.....
Thoughts?
Thanks,
Tony

Tony,
Like with the jeeps blue drab is from the factory.
When vehicles were delivered to the troops, the numbers were painted white, sometimes near or sometimes on/over the blue numbers.
If you want to build up your GPA "from factory" you should choose the blue numbers. If you want it to "look like in action" you should go for blue and white or only white numbers.
The invasion stars and the unit markings are always white paint and added after delivery to the troops and not from factory.
