Recently I have been discussing the issue of floor bolts with Bob Asselbergs.
Bob has a picture of a south african GPA where we can see floor is fixed with unmarked hex bolts and washers.
What do you guys have in your GPA to fix the front and rear floors ?
- Unmarked hex bolts
- F marked hex bolts
- or binding head (flat head) screws
Looking at TM-10-1264 dd october 1942 page 76 - FLOOR
I read : cover transmission 1/4-20x5/8 hex bolts and washer---qty 7
pan (front floor side) LH 5/16-18x5/8 hex bolts qty 4
+ 5/16-18x5/8 binding head screw qty 2
All the other ones ( qty total 20 ) are binding head screw + lockwasher
Is TM correct or not
Thanks
Vivian

:D Hi Vivian,
I have f script hexbolts in the floor panel I know that the partslist says panhead screws .
But the pictures off the 186 miles south africa GPA did me believe this was the right thing.
I know for sure that sometimes partslist and other books tell different things and sometimes wrong things.
In this case i don t know for sure and took the pictures for ok
I hope this helps you out.
Peter

Bolts or screws
Here a picture / scan of a drawning from Modification Work Orders.
There are bolts visible and no screws.
(I no now, that only the early GPA's used screws, no bolts for this)
Greetings Bob
