I mentioned it before, that GPA is incredible!!
She is untouched.
They painted her once but that seccond paintcoating is mostly gone
and the original paint is good visible.
It has 184 original miles on her total and daytrip counter!!
The spare wheel has never been removed since the Ford Factory in 1942!
The original South African Reg. nbr is still painted on the spare wheel.
This vehicle is in the S.A.historic military museum in Johannesburg since 1949 and has never been in the water.
The guys who maintain the museum, Richard & Jeff, even have the original green leather cushions in their warehouse.
In the Ford factory in 1942 there was only one GPA between this one and mine so a better example for the restauration of mine can't be found.
You can find a few pictures of this GPA in my photobucket.
For me it is 14 hours flying but for you not so far and as a GPA specialist
a must to see her once!
I got a CD full of pictures of this incredeble GPA.
B.T.W the other vehicles, airplanes and material in this museum is a visit worth!
Greetings Bob
