canvas top jeep/gpa

Post by fordgpa »

Hi guys,
For the rainy weather I made a Jeep canvas top off my MB to fit on my GPA.
The only thing I had to make were bows,3 more hole in the canvas at the windowscreen and some brackets at the back.
I managed to do this without drilling extra holes in the GPA.
A few small brackets I had to make wich are screwed at the body with the original screws or bolds .
So no damage at the GPA.
Easy to remove and up in a few seconds when it starts to rain.
I tested it today and it works great.

That looks useful.... and I like that it was done with no new holes to the GPA :) I guess if the GPA was more successful Ford would have come up with something very similar.

nicely done Peter. Could we have pictures of the brackets that hold the bows and some measurements.

Thanks in advance

Hi Peter,

it sure looks very good !

I would also be interested in detailed pictures of your system, especially because you are using existing holes ....

Great !

BTW Did you ever get any further with the plate in the engine-room you were going to reproduce ?

Thanks,
Glenn
