GPA Generator Bracket.

Post by bbloom »

Does anyone have a spare GPA generator bracket they would part with. I am currently using the bracket out of a WWII 12volt conversion kit. It works but you have to add a bunch of shims to align it properly.
Thanks,
Bill

Leo,
Thanks for the link but I am looking for the generator bracket that acutally holds the generator, the one that is bolted on the block, not the adjusting arm. I only saw the adjusting arm on that web site.

Hi Bill,

Ok, you meant the lower bracket, sorry for my mistake. So far Scootopia doesn't make these as far as I know.
You can easely adjust a standard jeep bracket, the one on a GPA is 1" longer, so just weld a piece of the same thickness steel to it and you are done.

Hello Leo ... and all other amphib friend.

Thanks a lot. Yes, nearly 2 years now but I'm feeling much more better now and I hope to finish my projects one day. So few parts are still missing ... and I think mine is mechanically complete, so I only have to finish with her hull.

Regards,

What parts are you needing. I do not have many spare parts but if you tell me what you are looking for I will be glad to look for you. I am also looking for the pieces that goes on the front brake hoses to attach the springs to. I have the springs and attaching brackets on the axle bumpers , but need the piece for the brake hoses. If I knew what they looked like I could probably make them but I don't even know what they look like.

Dear Bill,

I still have to check but I think I can also help you with both front brake hoses clamps. If not, I'm sure Jaap Rietvelt from Belgium could help you. They are very simple parts to make.

I'm looking for these original parts :

the reinforcement plate that goes under the dashboard to reinforce the right gun holder bracket.
both plates that goes over the engine head to keep spark plugs from water.
vertical bracket to hold the jerrican
boathook
some of the boathook bracket (the rear one and another one)
original cushions
original windshiel cover
and so on ... (I know ...)

If someone is able to help me.
