Everyone,
I am trying to see if I can correct my not too accurate fuel sending unit and I am trying to replace it. I have found two, one has a 5-1/2 inch maximum depth (which I think is too short) and the other has about 11 inch maximum depth which may be too long because of the distance to the front side of the tank and the nearby baffles. Does anyone know the original fuel sending unit depth range and/or the maximum distance needed in order for the float arm to clear the internal baffle panels.
I could pull the sending unit and measure but the tank has gas and trying to avoid pulling the unit, measure, reinstall, modify the new sending unit, remove the old unit, etc.
Thank you,
Donovan.
